The idea of “serving” can sometimes feel like signing up for a second job you didn’t ask for. But at Covenant Park, being Jesus’ hands and feet is less about checking off a to-do list and more about making sure the person walking through our lobby feels like they actually belong here. Whether you’re the one handing out high-fives at the door, brewing a fresh pot in the cafe, or helping someone find a seat in the sanctuary, you’re creating a space where people can finally take a breath and focus on something bigger than themselves. It’s simple, practical work that turns a Sunday morning into genuine fellowship, and we promise you won’t be stuck doing it alone or forever if you find it’s just not your thing.
If you’re more the “organized chaos” type, the kids wing is always looking for people to help out with our littlest ones in Sprouts or hang with the elementary crew in the Treehouse. You could also hang out with the Students on Sunday nights. No “super-volunteer” uniform required (but we can get you a snazzy lanyard!), just a willingness to be a rational adult in their world for an hour. The goal isn’t to recruit an army; it’s just to have enough of us involved so that the work is light and the welcome is real.
If you’ve been sitting on the sidelines wondering how to get plugged in, we’d love for you to give it a shot.
