Baptism is one of the most important steps a believer can take in their walk with Jesus. It is a public declaration of faith and an outward expression of the life-changing work God has already done in a person’s heart. At Covenant Park, we practice baptism by immersion because we believe it beautifully symbolizes the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus. Going under the water represents leaving behind an old way of life, and coming out of the water represents the new life we have in Christ.

We believe baptism is for those who have personally placed their faith in Jesus and are ready to publicly identify as His follower. Baptism does not save us, but it is an act of obedience and a powerful testimony of the transformation that Christ has brought into our lives. Whether you recently decided to follow Jesus or have been walking with Him for years and have never taken this step, but you would like to, we would love to celebrate this milestone with you.
